WEST CHESTER – The Chester County Workforce Investment Board and PA CareerLink-Chester County have posted the program of employment and training services available to Chester County citizens over the coming year. The services, available until June 30, 2015, are the most comprehensive listing ever, and are directly linked to feedback that the Workforce Investment Board has received from Chester County employers.
New opportunities for job seekers in 2014/15 year include CNC machinery and welding training, as requested by manufacturing employers in Chester County. Other employment and training programs include Microsoft Office Skills; Customer Service Specialist Training with the National Retail Federation (NRF) certification; Computer Numeric Controlled certification; Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) certification; Electronics Technology certification, Certified Nurses’ Assistant training; and workshops on employment success, job seeker essentials and steps for entering the workforce.
“Major train station projects are on tap for five Chester County communities in my district. Local leaders share some of the same questions about timelines, potential improvements and upcoming economic opportunities, so it makes sense for us to gather in the same room and learn from our common experiences,” Dinniman said “Our train stations are the front doors to our communities. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and we want to get it right.”
