Timothy Alexander is the Founder, Content Curator, and Editor of the Parkesburg Gazette. Content curation is the process of collecting, organizing and displaying information relevant to a particular topic or area of interest. Services or people that implement content curation are called curators.
He started the Parkesburg Gazette as an accurate source of news and matters of interest to local subjects. The Parkesburg Gazette also has regional news, covering events beyond the immediate local area, including news from Chester and Lancaster Counties and Pennsylvania state-wide. While not necessarily about Parkeburg, or her neighbors, these stories have local importance.
On February 12, 2013, Timothy also started (what has become known as) the Octorara Tax Blog. The site was originally to provide updates for an online petition demanding the Octorara School Board address issues of cost, new spending, and lowering taxes. Today, the site also tackles issues of transparency and accountability on matters including: academic performance, budget adoption, contracts, curriculum adoption, and fiscal planning and oversight.
