Child Care Career and Technical Education Program at Octorara

EducationBThe Octorara Area Sr. High School is running a Child Care Career and Technical Education Program. The child care program is for three to five-year-old children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15-11:45 AM and they are looking for more children to register for the program this Fall.

What is Room-2-Bloom Early Learning?
The Octorara Area Sr. High School will be offering the Room-2-Bloom Early Learning experience for children ages 3-5 years old.

The curriculum is aligned with the Octorara Primary Learning Center’s Kindergarten curriculum by providing active, hands-on activities in the areas of literacy, language, art, science, dramatic play, music, movement, and mathematics.

Why is the program being offered?
The idea of a child development laboratory is to provide the high school students with the opportunity to observe and interact with preschool children in a model setting that utilizes developmentally appropriate practices.

Who is the program for?
The program is offered for children ages 3-5 years old.

The program can accommodate a maximum of 10 children.

All children attending the program must be potty-trained.

When is the program being held?
Select Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the months of Sept, Oct, November and December

Dates:
Sept. 29, Oct. 2,7,14,16,21,24,28,30
November 4,6,11,13,18,20,25
December 2,4,9,11,16,18
Drop-off 9:15 A.M./ Pick-up 11:45 A.M.

What is the cost?
$220 for all 22 days in the Fall Session

$50 Registration fee is due ASAP to reserve your space in the program; the remaining amount of the total cost will be due throughout the duration of the program.

The cost will cover all art materials and consumable supplies used, as well as a healthy snack and drink each day.
