A teenager was arrested early Sunday after he broke into a neighbor’s Salisbury Township home and told a 17-year-old girl he intended to have sex with her, police said.
But other residents of the home in the 700 block of Willow Lane confronted the boy, who is also 17, and he fled.
State police were called to the home shortly before 4 a.m. for a reported burglary in progress, Trooper Philip Strosser said. They discovered the boy outside the home, exposing his genitals.
Troopers later searched the boy’s home in the 700 block of Dogwood Lane and found about eight mason jars of marijuana and smoking pipes and other devices, Strosser said.
They charged the 17-year-old boy with burglary, criminal attempt to commit indecent assault, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief for damaging a door.
He was remanded and detained at Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center. Police did not release his name because of his age.
Another teen also faces charges from the incident, Strosser said.
Robert Robison, 18, lives with the boy in the Dogwood Lane home. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver a marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Robison was arraigned and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
