PARKESBURG — A 9-year-old boy was airlifted to a Philadelphia hospital after he was shot in the eye with a BB gun Wednesday night.
According to Parkesburg Police Chief Brian Sheller, a group of juveniles were arguing along West Main Street Wednesday night when the 9-year-old was allegedly shot in the eye. Police said an 11-year-old boy fired the BB gun.
The victim was driven to an area urgent care facility and later airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Police said the boy was later released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
No charges were filed. Sheller said police investigators and juvenile services will determine if any charges are appropriate in the case.
