One man is recovering from multiple stab wounds and another is behind bars after a street fight Wednesday in the 200 block of Grant Street.
According to the Parkesburg Police Department, 21-year-old Maurice Corporal of West Chester was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and related offenses after officers responded to reports of a stabbing shortly after 9 p.m in the 300 block of West First Avenue.
The victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds to his back and neck, told police that Corporal stabbed him while the two men were fighting, according to a criminal complaint filed by investigators.
Corporal later admitted to stabbing the victim during the fight after he was taken into custody, the complaint said. On Thursday morning he was arraigned at district court and taken Chester County Prison after failing to post $75,000 cash bail.
