Community Breakfast Saturday July 20th at the VFW
Come join us for the monthly community breakfast
The monthly Community Breakfast will be served Saturday, July 20th 2013, from 7-10am, free of charge to all who come, in the upstairs dining hall at the Parkesburg VFW (406 4th Ave.) Donations stay in the community.
The bike race last Tuesday night was a success! The community consensus is to do it again. Many thanks to the Parkesburg Criterium Committee who formed and put this event together in just a few weeks. Now that the committee is formed and a bank account opened there is a foundation for future events. I have been asked if donations can still be made. YES! Please make checks out to the Parkesburg Criterium Committee and drop them at Assetto’s Family Hairstyling or Boro Hall.
If you have any suggestions or ideas of how to make the event better please let [Melinda Keen] know and [she’ll] pass the info to the committee.
Many thanks also to the Keystone Valley Fire Co and the organizations affiliated with the company. We could not have done this event without our dedicated fire fighters, EMTs and fire police. Many thanks to the Parkesburg Police who sponsored a race and were on hand for the event. Also the Boro Admin staff and Boro crew who worked tirelessly before and after the event deserve thanks! Thanks also to the vendors who participated.
Also the public came out strong to support this event. Please continue to show support for Community Events, by attending the Community Breakfast on Sat and donating blood on Friday.
