The Parkesburg VFW Post 4480 will host a Memorial Day parade with services and events to follow Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
The parade will form at the World War I monument on Main Street at 12:30 p.m. and will travel west to North Culvert Street, then to West First Avenue and will conclude at the World War II monument at the Keystone Valley Fire District.
Services to honor deceased veterans will be held at the World War I monument and the World War II monument. Lewisberry resident and retired United States Army Col. Edward J. Fisher is scheduled to speak at a ceremony at the World War II monument at the conclusion of the parade.
Following the ceremony, there will be activities at Minch Park, including food and refreshments, live music, a video game trailer and a patriotic bike decorating contest for kids ages 6-12.
The day of events is sponsored by Pfc. Robert Montgomery, of VFW Post 4480.
